Het Proces
When a multisite is chosen, the construction process begins. The process is shown below, so everyone knows what to expect.
-
Inventarisatie
Do you need a standalone website for your institute, project, or other initiative linked to Maastricht University? Then a multisite could be the solution!
The website will have a fixed template where you need to fill in the text and images yourself, ensuring the university's corporate identity and the website's technical background are maintained. This is divided into quadrants. Once a request is received, the quadrant will be assigned by a dedicated person.
Are you sure? Request a new multisite here.
Not sure yet if a multisite is the right solution? Request a consultation here.

Development
When a request for a new multisite is received, the technical development begins. A (digital) meeting will be held to explain the process and provide an opportunity for questions. This meeting will also gather information needed to set up the website. The Drupal team will then start building your website and test it to ensure everything works properly.
This can take up to six weeks.

Realisatie
Once the websites frame is up and running, you can fill it in yourself. After a training session, you'll be granted editing permissions and can get started. This will take place in a beta environment: a place where the website is hosted and accessible, but not yet accessible to visitors.
You have a maximum of one month to complete this.
-
Live-gang
Once the website is complete (at least with basic information or an under-construction page), it can go live. Visitors can now find it at the requested URL. The website can, of course, be updated live by the editors.
After the website goes live, the Drupal team will continue to post technical updates, and there will be opportunities for support and questions. You are responsible for the content yourself.
